A $500 deposit will be required for New Customers to confirm their order for a whole or side of beef. Loyal past customers in good standing will not be required to place a deposit to confirm their order. Past customers who wish to make a deposit may request to do so. Please indicate so in the “Additional Instructions” portion of the order form. All deposits will be deducted from final purchase price once we have the total cost of your order based on the hanging weight of your beef. Full payment is required in the fall before delivery.

Sides of Beef Ordering Information
Custom Processed Beef Orders Delivery Date: Fall 2017
All orders will be cut, wrapped, frozen, and shipped to Kodiak from our ranch on Sitkinak Island. Pricing for initial sale is based on the hanging weight so you don’t pay for the skin, head, or stomach. You can buy either a whole or half beef. Prices are as follows:
$6.49/lb on hanging weight (includes shipping from our Ranch to Kodiak).
This price is broken down into the following: $4.49/lb carcass weight, $1.00/lb processing fee, $1.00/lb shipping.
What to expect
Each animal will be different in weight, and selected randomly for each customer. Weights will range on a Whole Beef from 180 to 300 lbs per beef depending on body size. So please specify if you’d like a large or small one. Our average weight is 250 lbs for a whole beef. So with that average you can figure what to expect (but your end price will vary depending on carcass hanging weight):

How to figure yield:
You pay $6.49/lb on the hanging weight which is the beef carcass hanging on the rail. After fat, bone, and trimmings are cut off, you will end up with an estimated value of $8.11 (see chart above) per pound on the finished weight. It is important to understand this ahead of time. We are required to pre-sell our livestock by USDA federal regulations. As an example, if you buy one half we find someone else to buy the other half before we butcher. That way we are selling the animal live on the hoof.
To find the approximate cost per pound of cut and wrapped meat, divide the price per pound "hanging weight" by the percent. REMEMBER: You are getting high quality steaks, ground beef and other cuts for this price!

You can customize this package. If you would like more ground beef, please specify which cuts you’d like to be ground (i.e. no ribs, less roasts, etc).

If you would like more steaks per package, please let us know and the meat crew will be delighted (it is quicker that way). If you’d like less than 4 steaks per package, there is an additional flat fee applied to cover time spent making smaller roasts and using more materials to package smaller amounts:

1 steak per package = $50.00 added to total order

Shipping from our ranch to Kodiak is figured into the purchase price, but shipping beyond Kodiak is an additional cost. We expect costs to be:
